Zingdad Art Mother of Swirl Every now and again a fractal comes together in a way that totally amazes me. It comes to life in a way that I could never have anticipated. This is one of the reasons I love making fractal art so much. And this piece, Mother of Swirl, is my best example of this. I can't believe this is just a recursive set of mathematical instructions combined with a colour palette (because that is all a fractal really is).
What I love so much about this artwork is the depth and life it holds. If you look at it it almost seems to move and breathe. Does it not look like mother of pearl? I think so.
